We want every guest to have the clearest possible picture of access at The Fox at Hurley so you can decide whether our accommodation is suitable for your needs. Please read the details below and view all room photos for a clear understanding before booking.

Overview

​

  • The only ground-floor accommodation is The Lodge.

  • All other guest rooms (The Dean, The Set, The Holt, The Warren) are upstairs and accessible only via stairs.

  • We do not provide additional support rails or specialist accessibility equipment in any room.

 

Arrival, Parking and External Access

​

  • Parking is available on site.

  • The Lodge is reached across the lawn from the car park. Please note that grassed surfaces can be uneven and may be more difficult to traverse in wet weather.

  • There is one step to enter The Lodge from outside.

 

Internal Access and Stairs

​

  • The staircase to the first-floor rooms is narrow but has a handrail.

  • There is no step-free route to first-floor rooms.

 

Bedrooms and Bathrooms

​

  • The Lodge (ground floor): Larger bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Entry to the Lodge is via one external step.

  • The Dean (first floor): Smaller bathroom with a step-in shower. Access via the staircase.

  • The Set (first floor): Smaller bathroom with a step-in shower. Access via the staircase.

  • The Holt (first floor): Smaller bathroom with a step-in shower. Access via the staircase.

  • The Warren (first floor): Bathroom with a bath and overhead shower. Access via the staircase.

 

Equipment and Adaptations

  • No rooms are fitted with additional supports (e.g., grab rails) or specialist accessibility features.

  • We do not provide portable ramps or other assistive equipment.
